Looking for something to do tonight and maybe tomorrow. Well, I certainly am not an unending source of ideas - but I've got a few tricks up my sleeve. Here are some of my picks:
Tonight, Thursday, February 19:
**COWBOY RAMBLE AT THE WOODSHED WITH BAND OF ANNUALS: Straight off the tour bus - err - van and headed to the Woodshed (State St and 800 S, 21+), BOA are ready to sing you some sweet country tunes. Along with the help of friends of course. Expect guest appearances from Glade Sowards, David Williams, Greg from the Rubes, Wren from Bluebird Radio, and many more...The show is from 9pm to 12am. $5 at the door.
**LANCE'S BIRTHDAY PARTY AT URBAN LOUNGE: Co-owner of Kilby Court, Lance Saunders, celebrates another year of life today. Come and celebrate with him at Urban Lounge (21+) - music from some of his favorite bands: Pleasure Thieves, Starmy, and God's Revolver. Show starts at 10pm. $1 at the door.
Tomorrow, Friday, February 20:
BIG LEBOWSKI SHOW AT SIGNED & NUMBERED: Come and check out Lebowski themed prints from some of the most talented artists you'll never know. This is part of SLC's Gallery Stroll, so wear your walking shoes and catch all the other shows around town too! From 6pm to 9pm, free...err...unless you buy art, which you should.
FUTURE OF THE GHOST CD RELEASE AT URBAN LOUNGE: For real this time, alright. They've got an awesome new EP for you to check out and this is their big kick-off for it. Show is at Urban Lounge (21+) with Palace of Buddies and Laserfang. Starts at 10pm, tickets are $6 at Slowtrain.
FEELING PHILANTHROPIC? OR MAYBE JUST LONELY: Well, buy yourself a date at the Bachelor/Bachelorette auction and support the work of the Junior League of Salt Lake City. The Junior League is dedicated to improving the lives of women and children in our community. So join them at Keys on Main (21+, 242 S. Main St) to buy yourself a hot date and feel good about where your money is going. Silent auction from 8:30pm to 10:30pm. Live Bachelor/Bachelorette auction starts at 10:30pm. $5 at the door, all proceeds to benefit the Junior League.
