Great Lake Swimmers! the State room! October 20th!

If you've shopped at Slowtrain for awhile, you've probably already heard of the canadian folk band "Great Lake Swimmers". If not, and you're at all into extremely beautiful folk music, you'd be doing yourself a favor to check them out. They're pretty damn fantastic.
Here's an example of what you're in for:

Needless to say, we are all pretty big fans here at Slowtrain, so as you can imagine, we're more than a little excited about their upcomming show at the State Room. We've got tickets for sale here for $16, and it's sure to be a pretty great time!

Also, the State Room, if you've never been there, is a pretty cool place. It's on 638 South State Street and it's a rad little venue with a mix of seats and standing room (perfect for this kind of show). Doors will open an hour or more before the show, they've got a full bar, and free parking on the south and west side of the venue. What more could you possibly want??

See you there!

These guys have recently become a favorite of mine! Thanks for getting the word out on them. Please look at my blog and tell me what you think (lottolaugh.blogspot.com).

They are a "must see live" band - I've been a fan for a long while and when I saw them at Kilby Court last time they were through here it took my breath away.
